Our highly experienced team possesses deep market knowledge and technical expertise in satellite communications, IP networking and software development. Many were involved first-hand in pivotal technological advances such as digital satellite communication, digital video, IP via satellite, and wireless security and have achieved post-graduate studies in the areas of Business, Engineering or Physics.

George Knizewski – President

Founder and president of Knight Sky, LLC, George has worked within the satellite communications industry for more than 20 years, including being the Lead technical advisor for satellite communications and wireless technologies to the US Army PEO-EIS office and a senior consultant to the World Bank, U.S. Army, Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA), National Guard Bureau (NGB), and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). He holds a Master of Science degree from Brooklyn Polytechnic University in New York NY and was awarded a Meritorious Service Award from the National Guard Bureau.

David Meadows - Vice President, SATCOM Programs

David has over 31 years of experience in satellite communications, including 21 years at COMSAT Labs and 10 years at Lockheed Martin. At COMSAT Labs he developed a number of software systems for a variety of commercial and government customers, and was the Systems Engineer for the Ground Segment for the NASA Advanced Communications Technology Satellite (ACTS) program. He holds a Master of Science degree from Virginia Tech in Blacksburg VA and is a Space Foundation Technology Hall of Fame awardee.

Dr. Xiang Chen – Senior Principal Scientist

Dr. Chen has over 20 years of experience in satellite communication system engineering, mobile satellite system engineering, advanced digital signal processing theory and algorithm, system architecture, integration and verification of subsystem and system for world-wide space system, and advanced mathematics. He holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering degree from Rice University in Houston TX and is a current reviewer for IEEE.
